Beatmaker Bio : I made my first beats back in 2000, Under the name "Mellowbase". They
were Hip Hop beats, produced with a computer. My main influences were
Brooklyn early 90's hip hop producers and their followers : Premier,
Pete Rock, DITC,... J-Rawls, J-Sands... Never had the ability to rap on
my own beats and never looked for an MC who'd match with the moods...
Then, I started to make beats influenced by other kinds of music that I
loved at the time... And the more I was going into African rooted music,
the more my beats got African oriented. For example, I spent a lot of
time trying to adapt the Afrobeat Trance with hip hop producing ways...
Beatmaking
is not something I do every day. Not even every month, but when it's
time for, it's always the same pleasure... Neckbreaking and
Hipshaking...
The only beatmaker work that was issued
on record so far is an Anthony Joseph Remix ( Cobra) on an Heavenly
Sweetness 12" in 2012. Since then, I concentrated on other skills...
